2026 Sunshine Coast Stratogen Inter-School Dinghy Regatta

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026.

We’re excited to announce the return of the Sunshine Coast Stratogen Accounting Inter-School Dinghy Regatta!

The Regatta is open to:

Primary division up to and including Year 6 and below.
Secondary division Year 7–12.

Schools are invited to register teams of 2 students (helm and crew) enrolled at the same school in the Sunshine Coast Region. Schools are welcome to submit more than one entry but the number of entries may be limited at the discretion of the Race Committee.

Entry fee: $100 per team
Entries close: 8th May 2026

Event Summary

The 23^rd Stratogen Accounting Sunshine Coast Interschool Regatta was held this weekend 16^th and 17^th May. This year’s event was the biggest so far, with a total of 21 teams, from 9 schools in the Sunshine Coast Region. St Andrews Anglican College, Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Sunshine Beach State High School, Sunshine Beach State School, Matthew Flinders Anglican College, Noosa Pengari Steiner School, Meridan State College, and a Homeschool Team.

Conditions were very variable across the weekend. Both mornings brought sun and clear skies, followed by rain, light winds and an outgoing tide in the afternoon. This made for some competitive racing, with sailors constantly adjusting their tactics and strategies to suit the conditions.

A massive thankyou to all Schools, Students, Parents, & Volunteers for their continued support which makes events like these possible.

Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club provided the perfect venue for viewing the action with a front-row seat across the water which families also took advantage of.

A special thanks to all the volunteers, parents, team captains and School co-ordinators for their support and encouragement of Junior Sailing.
