Website. About Us Who are Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club? Boating activities have been part of life on beautiful Noosa River throughout its recorded history. Organised competitive rowing and sailing date back to at least the early 1950s when the Noosa River Sailing club and Noosa Rowing club came into existence The current club structure came into being in 1984 when the previous rowing and sailing clubs decided to join together to form the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club. Please go to the Sailing and Rowing sections for details of sporting activities. The club is open 7 days a week with bar trading from 11am until 10pm . In addition breakfast service is available on Sundays only from 8am to 10.30am . NYRC provides the finest environment for dining or enjoying a cool drink in the Noosaville area. We are located in prime position off Gympie Terrace in the parklands of the river foreshore. The clubhouse is ideally equipped with broad outdoor decks offering stunning views of the beautiful Noosa river and surrounds while taking advantage of the cool river breeze. Glorious sunsets make the idyllic setting even more perfect. We provide a full range of quality bar services and restaurant standard food at club prices for our members, their guests and bona fide visitors. modern gaming facilities are also available. Promote the sports of sailing and rowing for community members of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Provide an opportunity for youth in the area to develop interests and skills in rowing and sailing Provide a circumstance for youth in the area whereby experienced club members can act as mentors and role models in the sports as well as in personal development Provide an opportunity for community members and visitors to readily access and enjoy the unique beauty of the Noosa River in pleasant dining circumstances Provide a range of additional social opportunities for community members of diverse backgrounds, ages and abilities to interact and develop satisfying social connections. The aims of the NYRC reflect the Noosa Council Sector plans developed in 2002 as It aims to promote the development of community networks for people of diverse backgrounds, encourage participation of youth in community life, promote tourism, encourage responsible care of the environment of the Noosa River , contribute to satisfying social life of community members and build all important community networks for recent arrivals to the Noosa Area.
